National Observers, Senior Observers, Local Observers, Group Observers and Trainnee Observers from DWDAM and BWAM (Bournemouth & Wessex Advanced Motorcyclists) joined forces on Saturday 7th November for a combined observer trainining day.
Everyone met at the Dorchester Market Cafe for breakfast and to get to know each other and be introduced to the groupings for the day. Despite the appauling weather (torrential rain, flooded roads and high winds) the day proceeded as planned. A short ride to Windfrith Business Park park for slow riding, then a ride to Haynes Motor Museum for coffee, a bite, and de-brief of the sessions so far. Fortunately whilst at Haynes it stopped raining and the sun came out for the final ride back to Dorchester and the Engine Room Cafe.
It was unanimously declared a success and agreed that it should be repeated next year. Thanks to Kelvin Latham for liaising with BWAM and getting it off the ground.
Sunday Ride Out - Portland Crab Sandwiches
An enjoyable ride out which passed through some lovely villages, beautiful scenery and best of all, lots of new routes for some on the ride. The brilliant weather made up for the disappointment of missing out on a crab sandwich lunch.
