National Observer Certificates Presented

Dorchester & West Dorset Advanced Motorcyclists (DWDAM) are very pleased to announce the successful completion of the National Observers Qualification by long standing DWDAM members and former Senior Observers Kelvin Latham and Brian Purnell OBE. As a result of this qualification Kelvin and Brian have been appointed as Local Observer Assessors.

Dave Luke, the recently appointed group Chairman said. ‘Kelvin and Brian are warmly congratulated on achieving this high standard of motorcycle riding and training. They are now well placed to encourage the other Group Observers to take the Local Observer Qualification and potentially go on to take the National Observer qualification and work closely with them to achieve this. The Observer Sub Committee, steered by Senior Observer Alan Bushaway, has recently identified and appointed four new Local Observers and Kelvin and Brian will work with them to assist with their training’.

‘We work closely with Dorset County Council, PC Chris Smith and the Dorset ‘Bike Safe’ Team to promote Road Safety amongst all ages of riders in the county. The efforts of Alan and the Observer Sub Committee are vital to the successful training and recruitment of Observers and indeed new Associates within the Group’ said Dave.
