Following the success of the 2015 trip, Brian Purnell has organised another for 2016.  You will need to let him know if you wish to go by the end of January 2016. Thereafter, the tour will be closed to all new applications. Below is a precis of the tour.

Betws-y-Coed is North Wales' most popular inland resort. It is where the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, the Llugwy, the Lledr and the Machno. Much of it was built in Victorian times and it is the principal village of the Snowdonia National Park and is set in the beautiful Gwydyr Forest. It is an ideal, central location for motorcycle tours.

The proposed itinerary for 2016 will see the tour based in Betws y Coed, Snowdonia National Park, for five days (four nights).

The chosen accommodation is the Royal Oak Hotel. Sensitive to its Victorian heritage, the Royal Oak’s traditional design is coupled with a contemporary feel and modern facilities set in a stunning location. It has quality rooms, award winning dining and vibrant bars, all delivering outstanding hospitality, making the Royal Oak the perfect choice for the DWDAM 2016 motorcycle tour.

The Royal Oak Hotel has offered a special B&B rate in the Stables Lodge (quality en suite accommodation specifically for use by groups such those on a motorcycle tour) as follows:

Stables Lodge - 2 sharing a double or twin room at £90 per room per night.

Single occupancy at £75 per room per night.

Note: A special half board rate will also be available for those interested which can be taken up on arrival.

So far, 10 members have booked the tour. Four more places are still available and if interested in joining the tour, members are requested to declare their intentions, on a first come, first served basis, along with their accommodation preference, no later than 31 January 2016 with a £50 room deposit paid as soon as a booking is accepted but no later than 31 January 2016 with the balance paid in full no later than 25 February 2016.
