Sunday Ride Out - Beaminster for Skittles and Carvery

First ride-out of 2019 is being led by Brian Purnell.  We are heading to Beaminster for Skittles and the Carvery.  Not a long ride, with a game of skittles and a Sunday Roast on offer, so ideal for pillions.

Weather looks like it will have warmed up by Sunday, but will keep you all posted if it looks like the weather won’t be suitable on the day.

Ride Out to:

Red Lion, Beaminster for Carvery and Skittles

The ride out is open to all Members, Associates and Pillions.  New associates are warmly welcomed but before attending their first ride out, please seek clearance by your Observer.

Sunday 6 January 19

Top of Town car park, Dorchester

Briefing and Departure:

Assemble 09:30 for a 10:00 departure.

A scenic ride through the Dorset countryside, with a stop for coffee at the Oathill Farm Tea rooms, before continuing onto Beaminster for Skittles and access to the Carvery at the Red Lion should you wish.

This ride is very suitable for riders with pillions; for those working towards their test, the route will show some of the roads one of our examiners uses to conduct the Advanced Rider Test.

Riders can return independently when finished at The Red Lion, via the B3163 to A356 and on to Maiden Newton to Dorchester or the A3066 to Bridport via Melpash and either the A35 to Dorchester or the coast road to Weymouth.
